Numerical Investigation of Cavitating Jet Flow Field with Different Turbulence Models

In numerous industries such as drilling, peening, cleaning, etc., a cavitating jet is adopted. However, it challenging to simulate the flow field numerically with accuracy. The of organ pipe cavitation nozzle simulated in this research using RNG k−ε, DES, and LES turbulence models. model can more accurately predict periodic shedding cloud, which basically consistent morphology captured high−speed camera. pattern, cloud evolution period are analyzed. findings demonstrate that produces effect inside superior those produced by k−ε DES vortex rings diffusion section model, accelerates cavitation. clouds show evolutions, stages generation, development, collapse. exhibits similar pattern vorticities display small-scale structures where bubbles This study provide reference for simulation analysis mechanism.
